The Mid-America Transportation Center, which is headquartered at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, was recently designated as the Region 7 University Transportation Center by the USDOT. We are looking for students with strong quantitative and communication skills to enter our PhD program in transportation systems engineering. Students in the PhD program are provided tuition remission, health care, and a nationally competitive stipend. Research opportunities are available in the following areas:
- Safety Decision Support System in a GIS Environment
- ITS Data Archiving and Mining
- Intelligent Uses of ITS Data
- Detector and Sensor Applications and Testing
